Cubs in the swim

Posted by akela on November 22, 2007

We would pick one of the warmest days ever recorded in November to go swimming at an indoor wave pool, but swim we did. Brave souls jumped into the pounding waves at the Monash Swim centre on Monday night for a bit of fun and a chance to atempt a Swimmer badge or two. After a bit of thrashing about in the wave pool we broke off into groups with some Cubs attempting level 2, the rest level 1 swimmer. 50 metre sprints, dead mans float, treading water and a pop quiz on water safety and another group of Cubs earned their badge. For the others a further distance to swim, clothed and in bathers and more questions waited.

Being very steamy inside, we moved outside to the cooler pool and lesser humidity for some impromptu races and water fun. A great night for all, now to get ready for our big event, Pack holiday!
