Ramblings from 1st Camberwell South A Pack Cub Scouts

All scarfed up…

Phew! Finally recovered from pack holiday and the sleep debt has been paid. Back to the hall for the home run to the end of the year. Only 3 weeks to go until breakup – or should that be breakdown? It was time to invest our newest members, to add all those nice new badges to their nice clean uniforms and give mum or dad a headache sewing them all on. Self adhesive badges could be a winner here. While the rest of the pack was sent outside to enjoy the glorious Glen Iris twilight, Akela ran our new chums through the looming ceremony, making sure they all understand the Promise and Law, and why we do the things we do in Cubs.

Bwana, our group leader, dutifully arrived early to roll scarves and sort certificates. Rikki collated and pinned badges together in anticipation and we welcomed a new leader as well. Happy to have you aboard Craig, pack holiday obviously worked.

Time for the ceremony, Cubs and parents gathered in the hall. Sixers presented their new chums, Akela invested, Bwana scarfed and the rest of the leaders pinned on the badges. Finally our pack is complete as the new chums completed their first proper grand howl as full members of the best cub pack in then universe!
