A Cub Scouting Life

Ramblings from 1st Camberwell South A Pack Cub Scouts

Storm clouds are a’brewin

Well it was overcast and thunderstorms threatened for our first night back for the year. But we thumbed our noses at the sky and proceeded outdoors for a night of fitness and fun. Limited in leader numbers but not put off a near full pack rolled up.

We evolved from eggs to lords, tried our throwing arms out for a game of long distant catch, shuttled radioactive rocket fuel through galactic goop and bounced meteors – which of course burst and cooed everyone down. I do not think too many Cubs went home dry last night – we did use recycled water. Rainwater next time as our new tank is due to be installed later this month.

But what lies ahead. Bike rodeos, pre-camp at Gilwell in preparation for the big event of 2008, Cuboree! So it looks like its going to be an action – packed, short term to start the year off.
