Penny Hike

Fortunately we had a beautiful night for our Penny hike (as the hall was still full of tents drying out from the weekend Cuboree Pre Camp trip). The pack was divided into 3 groups and off we went. The toss of the coin kept taking Kaa’s group (mainly the white sixes) south up to Ashburton Road, where they passed the homes of Kaa (good chance for a quick drink), Nicholas J and Jackson M. The coin then lead them further astray through the playground at Glen Iris Primary School before coming home via Cole Ave & Howard St were they passed more familiar houses (inc. a good friend of the Hathi’s as well as Heidi’s Grandparents), before dashing across the Ferndale Park oval for some cordial and biscuits. The luck of the coin kept the other two groups lead by Bagheera and Hathi exploring streets a little closer to Ferndale Park, although they also used the toss of a coin to decide whether they should walk, hop, skip of run between intersections.

Back at the hall the Pack celebrated Sarah’s Tenth birthday with some beautiful homemade chocolate and banana muffins, before a final Grand Howl which was loud enough to scare those living around park.
