Badgework
Achievement badges give you lots of opportunities to concentrate on your favourite areas of interest. You have 34 to choose from! Cubs select and work on these badges in their own time.
There are four types of Achievement badges:
Arts and Literature
Nature, Science and Technology
Sports and Recreation
Our World
Each badge has two levels,
Green or Red.

The Boomerang Award Scheme is based on three levels of achievement, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Generally your age at entry into the Cub section will determine which level you will be working towards. Boomerang work is programmed by the leaders.
Bronze – 7 to 8 years
Silver – 8 to 9 years
Gold – 9 to 10 years (Cub usually progresses to Scouts section before their 11th birthday)

There are also a whole group of ’special interest’ badges to attempt. If you care about the environment, know another language, are aware of other peoples beliefs or just take an active interest in local history, then there is probably a badge here that will interest you.
